Meet Our StaffAndy Hagler
Andy received his undergraduate dergree in Early Childhood Education from East Carolina University in 1980. From 1980-1984, Andy was a second and third grade schoolteacher at Belhaven Elementary School in Belhaven, North Carolina. He then pursued and earned a Master's Degree in Counseling and Guidance from The University of North Carolina in Greensboro in 1987. Subsequently, Andy was hired full-time at UNCG in the Office of Disabled Student Services where he provided academic accommodations for college students with a variety of disabling conditions. During his tenure at UNCG, Andy pursued and earned his second Master's in Public Affairs in 1991. From 1992 -1997, Andy was the Executive Director of The Arc of High Point - formerly The Association for Retarded Citizens of High Point. A native of Charlotte, Andy primarily grew up in Washington, NC but has lived in a number of communities, large and small, throughout the state. Andy is a member of Saint Anne's Episcopal Church in Winston Salem and serves as Chairman of their Child Care Committe. Andy serves in various volunteer capacities with the United Way of Forsyth County, most recently as the Partner Agency Representative of their 2005 Annual Campaign. Andy is currently co-chair of an interagency group - "Every Mind Matters"- a council composed of consumers with mental illness, substance abuse, families and professionals in the field of mental health that work together to advocate and educate the community about mental illness and substance abuse issues and to work to eradicate the stigma and discrimination that people with mental illness and substance abuse face each day. Eileen Barley
Eileen previously lived on Long Island, New York where she had worked in various NY State mental health facilities for eleven years. From 1989 -1991, she served as principal account clerk and supervisor for the business office of Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center. In 1991, the business office consolidated with Kings Park Psychiatric Center, a larger adult facility. Eileen moved to this facility as the supervisor of the accounts payable department. Then, in 1993, Eileen and her husband relocated to Winston-Salem where she has worked ever since. Pam Forrester
Prior to her work at the Mental Health Association, Pam worked for several years as a Case Manager in the mental health system both here in Forsyth County and back in Nova Scotia. She is currently a MSW student at UNC Chapel Hill, through their Winston Salem distance education program and plans to graduate in May 2007. Barbara E. Richardson
Barbara is originally from Bellaire, Ohio, but has made her home in the Winston-Salem area for 22 years. She worked for 7 years at the Forsyth County
